Summer is officially underway at BOH, and we have a lot happening between practices, meet registration, volunteer sign-ups, swag, bagels, and a few important pool and site updates.

Please take a minute to read through the notes below so your family doesn’t miss anything important.

🚧 POOL CLOSED SATURDAY (6/6): POOL DECK REPAIR

A quick reminder that the pool will be closed on Saturday (6/6) due to pool deck repair and concrete leveling.

Nobody loves missing a pool day, but with clouds and a possible thunderstorm in the forecast, it looks like Mother Nature may have volunteered Saturday for construction duty.

💻 SWIMTOPIA SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The SwimTopia website is currently under construction, so thank you for your patience if anything looks a little different or is temporarily harder to access.

Please make sure you have downloaded the SwimTopia app and enabled notifications. Weather updates, schedule changes, meet sign-ups, volunteer needs, and last-minute alerts will be sent through SwimTopia.

If you are trying to register for a meet and do not see the green registration box, it likely means you are not logged in. Once you log in, the registration options should appear.

👋 MEET YOUR 2026 BOH COACHES

We are thrilled to introduce our 2026 BOH Swim coaching team!

A VERY special shoutout to Coach Mark, who is entering his 48th season coaching at BOH!  It truly is impossible to talk about BOH Swim without talking about Coach Mark. His dedication, tradition, and love for our families and this program have shaped generations of beloved Bullfrogs!

And that legacy continues with Alexa and Kelsey, who have each spent years coaching, mentoring, and caring for our swimmers alongside their Dad.  Two generations of the Brown family have made BOH Swim what it is today, and we are so very lucky to have this incredible family coaching our swimmers!

Together with the talent and enthusiasm of Campbell and Gabi....this truly is THE dream team!

Fun facts: this group includes a major Beach Boys fan, two English Bulldogs named Handsome and Ferdinand, an organizing business owner, a 15-year swimmer, and a Little Women fan.

🏅 PONTCHARTRAIN RELAYS: FRIDAY, JUNE 12

Our first meet of the season will be Pontchartrain Relays at Detroit Golf Club on:

Friday, June 12

This meet is for 13 & Up swimmers only.

Registration for Pontch Relays has now closed. Registered swimmers should have received a separate Pontch Relays communication today with additional details.

A few quick reminders for participating families:

Dinner Reservations: If you plan to stay for the after-party, please make a dinner reservation at DGC as soon as possible.

Timer Needed: BOH needs to provide one timer for the meet. This is an easy job and can be split into shifts by two different volunteers.

Pro tip: spectator viewing can be limited at this venue, so timing is also one of the best ways to get a front-row seat for the action.

🏊 TIME TRIALS: SATURDAY, JUNE 13

Time Trials will be held on:

Saturday, June 13
Warm-Up: 4:00 PM
Start: 5:00 PM
Approximate End Time: 7:00 PM

If your swimmer has not registered for Time Trials yet, please do so in SwimTopia.

Time Trials are a great opportunity for coaches to get early-season times for meet lineups and for swimmers to try events they may not usually swim.

This is also a BOH-run meet, which means we will need parent volunteers to help everything run smoothly. Please check the volunteer sign-up in SwimTopia and sign up where you can.

Most families make an evening of it and stay for dinner after the meet, so we encourage you to make dining reservations in advance.

Towels are currently expected to arrive in early July. We will keep everyone posted as we get closer.

🏊 SPRING TUNE-UP PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Spring Tune-Up practices are continuing.

After-School Practice Schedule
This schedule runs through Friday, June 12, 2026. Practices are held daily except Sundays.

13 & Up: 4:00–5:30 PM
8 & Under: 5:30–6:00 PM
9–12: 6:00–7:00 PM

Saturday Practices During Preseason
Saturday practices follow the morning practice schedule listed below.

Morning Practice Schedule
This schedule begins Monday, June 15, 2026 and runs through the duration of the season. Practices are held daily except Sundays, with possible modifications for meets or special events.

12 & Up: 8:30–10:30 AM
9–11: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
8 & Under: 10:30–11:30 AM
Pre Team: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM
