For 12 and under swimmers - suits

    An important message regarding suits

USA Swimming does not allow 12 and under athletes to wear technical suits in competition. SICSA, BOH’s swim league follows this same policy.

A technical suit is defined as any suit with bonded or taped seams, regardless of the fabric or silhouette. It can also be any suit with woven fabric that extends past the hips. However, suits with woven fabric and sewn seams that do not extend below the hips are permitted.

For swimmers 12 and under who want to wear a suit with legs, the suit must have stitched seams and be made of knit fabric. For swimmers who want to wear a woven fabric suit, it must have stitched seams and be in a female regular cut or a male brief.
