OLCC asks that you be there at 8:45 AM to attend the timers meeting.

Parents, please see below and attached for important information that we received from OLCC. If there are any questions about what your child is swimming, please check with the coaches.

We are looking forward to a great 34th Mini Meet coming up this Friday, July 14th at Orchard Lake Country Club! Thank you for your participation, your parents help volunteering and for abiding by the rules of the meet and Orchard Lake Country Club. Denim is not allowed at OLCC. Please remind your guests of this policy.

When you arrive for the meet, there will be a “check-in” table set up by the lower parking lot. There are designated areas around the pool area for each team to sit as posted on the attached map of the OLCC lakefront. We advise all of you to bring your own tent to help the swimmers manage sun/rain exposure.

Our schedule for the day is as follows:

8:00am: Grounds open

8:15am-8:30am Warm-ups

Lane 1: Pine Lake Country Club

Lane 2: Forest Lake Country Club

Lane 3: Bloomfield Open Hunt

Lane 4: Detroit Golf Club & Oakhurst Country Club

Lane 5: Plum Hollow Golf Club

Lane 6: Orchard Lake Country Club

8:30am-8:45am Warm-ups

Lane 1: Birmingham Athletic Club

Lane 2: Wyndgate Country Club

Lane 3: Meadowbrook Country Club

Lane 4: Oakland Hills Country Club

Lane 5: Birmingham Country Club

Lane 6: Red Run Country Club

8:45am: Pool closes / Timer’s Meeting - Please meet on deck by the Announcers Table.

9:00am: Meet begins

This is a large meet with a lot of guests and young swimmers. We ask for everyone’s help ensuring that the meet runs smoothly. We will have viewing areas on the deck setup for parents and grandparents to access when their swimmers are racing. There will be seating and standing for Parents on deck and a designated area for Grandparents. We want to keep the deck clear for our officials, timers, volunteers and coaches so please respect the roping to ensure proper meet operations. Please convey this important information to your swim families.

Just as we have done in previous years, we will have a marshalling tent set up right outside the gate by the blocks. Coaches are asked to bring their swimmers to this tent where OLCC representatives will marshal the kids. Parents are not allowed in the marshalling tent.

Lane 1 Timers: (First half of meet: Pine Lake Country Club / Second half of meet: Forest Lake Country Club)

Lane 2 Timers: (First half of meet: Bloomfield Open Hunt / Second half of meet: Detroit Golf Club)

Lane 3 Timers: (First half of meet: Plum Hollow Country Club / Second half of meet: Orchard Lake Country Club)

Lane 4 Timers: (First half of meet: Birmingham Athletic Club / Second half of meet: Wyndgate Country Club)

Lane 5 Timers: (First half of meet: Meadowbrook Country Club / Second half of meet: Oakland Hills Country Club)

Lane 6 Timers: (First half of meet: Birmingham Country Club / Second half of meet: Red Run Country Club)

Finally, food and beverage for purchase will be available for parents and grandparents and swimmer meals will also be available for purchase. Given club-related events and activities going on at OLCC, we are not able to host visitors after the meet.
