    Air Quality Alert Response

    Hello Bullfrog Parents:

We are aware of the air quality issues relating to the Canadian wildfires.

The SICSA Directors connected last night, and we agreed that we'd like to proceed with the planned meets for today (all 6 clubs are competing), with the caveat of allowing families to make their own choices, based on the following reasons:

    • All SICSA clubs continue to hold golf, tennis, and swim activities with the air quality alerts.
    • The practices are more strenuous than meets and we've not experienced any issues with our swimmers.
    • We anticipate the fires will last through the summer, so if we start postponing meets now, we feel we are putting ourselves in a position to potentially postpone/cancel the season.

We do however support any families who are uncomfortable and do not want to participate, given the conditions. Please reach out to one of the coaches or respond to this message if you have any other questions or concerns or wish to pull out of the meet this evening. The SICSA Directors and Clubs will continue to monitor the conditions. Thank you.
